Man oh man, there are few things I love more in this world than Chick-Fil-A’s iconic avocado lime ranch dressing. (Although I really love this homemade version of Chick-Fil-A sauce too!)

It’s creamy, packed with flavor, and pairs nicely with a salad, wrap (or just about anything really).

That being said, though, I don’t really love the list of ingredients. So, I set out on a mission to make my own homemade version of this delicious dressing, and I think I’ve done it!

This homemade version is packed with healthy ingredients like kefir, apple cider vinegar, and my homemade avocado oil mayo. It’s easy, delicious, and something you can definitely feel good about making.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • KID FRIENDLY: This homemade dressing makes a great dipping sauce for all sorts of things. Kids love it!
  • HEALTHY: The one thing I love about this recipe. It’s packed with gut healthy ingredients like kefir and apple cider vinegar, and healthy fats like avocado and egg.
  • QUICK AND EASY: Similar to my homemade Chick-Fil-A sauce, this dressing is easily whipped up in about 10 minutes and stores well in the fridge for up to a week!

  • Avocados: You’ll need 2 ripe avocados for this recipe.

Tips for Preparing to Make This Recipe

  1. Avocados: Make sure they are ripe! They should have a slight give to them when squeezed (without being overly mushy).
  2. Mayo: If you don’t want to make your own avocado oil mayo, I love the Chosen Foods brand. It can be found at most grocery stores.
  3. Kefir: Kefir is a fermented milk drink that offers a variety of health benefits. It contains probiotics, beneficial bacteria that promote gut health and improve digestion. It also is packed full of vitamins and protein! I love and use Maple Hill Organic Kefir.

Step by Step Instructions

  1. Place all the dressing ingredients except the avocado oil and water into a food processor or high powered blender and begin blending.
  2. With the blender still running, slowly drizzle the avocado oil into the dressing. It should immediately begin to take on a thick and creamy texture, letting you know it has emulsified properly.
  3. Thin the dressing with a little water as desired, then adjust seasonings to taste if needed.
  4. Pour the dressing into a mason jar or other airtight container. For best results, refrigerate for an hour before using. It will keep in the fridge for up to 1 week.
