How to Make Healthier Homemade Chick-Fil-A Sauce

Looking for a healthier spin on classic Chick-Fil-A sauce? This recipe is for you! Made with avocado oil mayo, this healthier homemade Chick-fil-a sauce can be made in just a few minutes using simple ingredients.

This sauce pairs perfectly with everything from chicken nuggets, French fries, burgers…even as a dipping sauce for homemade wraps! The best part is it is made with simple, wholesome ingredients that you likely already have on hand!

Ingredients

  • Avocado Oil Mayo (you can grab my recipe for homemade avocado oil mayo here)
  • BBQ sauce (my homemade version linked here)
  • Honey
  • Dijon mustard
  • Lemon juice

How to Make Homemade Chick-Fil-A Sauce

This recipe is as easy as simply adding all the ingredients to a bowl and mixing together. I like to mix them together in a small bowl using a whisk, and then transfer into a mason jar for easy storage in the fridge.

In a small bowl, simply combine 1/2 cup mayo, 2 tbsp BBQ sauce, 2 tbsp honey, 1 tsp Dijon mustard, and 1 tsp lemon juice. Whisk together until combined and voila! Delicious and easy homemade Chick-Fil-A sauce.

Tips for Success

  • I recommend using basic, plain ingredients if you want the sauce to taste super similar to the original Chick-Fil-A version.
  • I think this sauce would be delicious with a little added kick of spice! You could use a spicy BBQ sauce or even add in 1/4 tsp of cayenne. Swapping hot honey for the regular honey would also be a yummy option!
  • If you don’t want to make your own avocado oil mayo, I love the Chosen brand. I have found it is available at most grocery stores!

How to Store

This homemade sauce will last in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
