Description

This homemade honey whipped cream is light, pillowy, and sweetened slightly with honey for the perfect accompaniment to a variety of recipes, from pancakes, cakes, and pies to homemade lattes!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment or a mixing bowl with an electric mixer, combine the heavy cream, honey, vanilla, and salt.
  2. Begin beating all the ingredients together on medium high speed until medium peaks form, about 3 minutes.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Keep it Cold: Make sure to grab the heavy cream straight from the fridge when beginning to prepare the whipped cream. You can also pop the mixing bowl in the fridge or freezer to chill for 10-15 minutes if you are feeling extra ambitious!
  • Watch it Closely: It can be easy to accidentally overmix whipped cream. If the whipped cream is overmixed, it will look grainy and slightly curdled. If this happens, just add in another splash of heavy cream and gently fold it in until it smooths out.
  • Storage: Best used immediately for the ideal texture, although it will store well in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
