Description

This easy and delicious homemade herb mayo is packed full of fresh herbs and spices for a fun twist on classic mayonnaise.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mayo (I use homemade avocado oil mayo)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh chives
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Begin by finely chopping the fresh herbs. Set aside.
  2. To a small bowl, add 1 cup mayo, seasonings, and fresh herbs. Mix together well.
  3. Store in the fridge in an airtight container to enjoy for up to a week.

Notes

  • If you don't want to make your own homemade mayo, you can substitute with whatever brand of mayo you prefer. For a high quality store-bought mayonnaise, I love Chosen Foods Avocado Oil Mayo.
  • If making homemade mayo, I recommend using a neutral flavored oil, like avocado oil or vegetable oil. I do not recommend using olive oil.
  • Experiment with different fresh herbs. Chopped fresh basil or green onion would also be delicious.
  • Add a little hot sauce or pinch of cayenne for a little heat!
  • You could easily make a double batch of this mayo if you're serving a crowd.
  • Use this flavorful mayo in a variety of dishes. It makes a great base for salad dressing, pasta salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, and more! It also works great as a condiment on sandwich bread and hamburger buns.
