Description

Craving an easy summer mocktail? This grapefruit and lime sparkling water comes together quickly with only a handful of ingredients. Light, fizzy, and perfect for summer sipping!

Ingredients

Scale

Simple Syrup

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

Mocktail

1 grapefruit

1 lime

2-3 tbsp simple syrup

Sparkling water, to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the simple syrup: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine water and sugar. Stir the mixture until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  2. Juice the fruit: Slice the grapefruit and lime in half, and then juice. Strain the juice over a fine mesh strainer, and then add to your serving glass of choice.
  3. Add the simple syrup, stirring together to combine. Top with sparkling water and garnish with extra slices of fruit, if preferred.
  4. Taste and adjust to your liking (you may want to add in more sweetener or more sparkling water). Enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure to strain the fruit juice. Grapefruit in particular has a lot of pulp, and I find that the drink is much more enjoyable overall when strained.
  • Store the extra simple syrup in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
