Description
Craving an easy summer mocktail? This grapefruit and lime sparkling water comes together quickly with only a handful of ingredients. Light, fizzy, and perfect for summer sipping!
Ingredients
Scale
Simple Syrup
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
Mocktail
1 grapefruit
1 lime
2-3 tbsp simple syrup
Sparkling water, to taste
Instructions
- Make the simple syrup: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine water and sugar. Stir the mixture until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Juice the fruit: Slice the grapefruit and lime in half, and then juice. Strain the juice over a fine mesh strainer, and then add to your serving glass of choice.
- Add the simple syrup, stirring together to combine. Top with sparkling water and garnish with extra slices of fruit, if preferred.
- Taste and adjust to your liking (you may want to add in more sweetener or more sparkling water). Enjoy!
Notes
- Make sure to strain the fruit juice. Grapefruit in particular has a lot of pulp, and I find that the drink is much more enjoyable overall when strained.
- Store the extra simple syrup in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
