Description

Quick and easy, this wholesome version of homemade honey mustard is made with only 4 ingredients, making it the perfect staple recipe to use for dips, dressings, and more!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup avocado oil mayo
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • pinch salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by combining all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Using a whisk, whisk together until combined and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Taste and adjust as needed- add a pinch of salt to taste, more honey for sweetness, or more mustard if you like.
  3. Add to a mason jar or other airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 1 week (see note). Enjoy!

Notes

  • Homemade Mayo: I highly recommend this! It is made with avocado oil and a few other simple ingredients. It makes a great base for this honey mustard, and is much healthier than store-bought mayonnaise.
  • Spice it Up: This recipe is easily customizable. Add in a little spice if you like, or add in a splash of olive oil or white wine vinegar for a tangy salad dressing.
  • Chill Time: Although this honey mustard is definitely delicious if used right away, I find the longer it sits in the fridge the better it gets! For best results, let it chill for 30 minutes to an hour to really let the flavors meld.
  • Storage: This honey mustard will store well in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week (if using homemade mayo). Using store-bought mayo will increase the shelf life to last for up to two weeks.
